The Service is a research and analysis tool. All content — including data, totals, graphs, relationships, and AI Output — is provided for general informational purposes only, "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE", without warranty of any kind. It is not legal, financial, compliance, investment, or other professional advice, and it is not an official record. Always verify against primary, official sources before relying on anything you find here.
2. Public-records accuracy
The underlying data is derived from public records made available by the Florida Department of State, Division of Elections. We do not originate, control, audit, or guarantee that data. It may not be accurate or current: it may contain errors at the source, be incomplete, lag behind the official record, or be altered by our ingestion and entity-resolution processing.
YOU AGREE TO INDEPENDENTLY VERIFY ALL INFORMATION AGAINST THE ACTUAL OFFICIAL PUBLIC-RECORDS WEBSITE OF THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF STATE, DIVISION OF ELECTIONS, BEFORE RELYING ON IT FOR ANY PURPOSE. DO NOT TREAT ANYTHING ON THIS SERVICE AS A VERIFIED OR OFFICIAL RECORD.
3. Contributor identity is our best estimation
THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF STATE DOES NOT REQUIRE POSITIVE IDENTIFICATION OF A CONTRIBUTOR'S IDENTITY; THEREFORE THE IDENTITY OF ANY CONTRIBUTOR SHOWN ON THIS SITE IS OUR BEST ESTIMATION OF WHAT THE PUBLIC RECORD INDICATES, DERIVED VIA AUTOMATED ENTITY RESOLUTION, AND MAY BE WRONG.
Because filers self-report names and occupations by hand with no standardized identifier and no validation, the same contributor can appear under many different spellings, and different contributors can appear under similar names. Our entity resolution attempts to reconcile these into single identities, but those linkages are estimations, not determinations, and may incorrectly merge, split, or label a contributor. Do not assert that a specific person or organization made a specific contribution based solely on the Service.
4. AI-output limitations
THE AI ANALYST CAN PRODUCE INCORRECT, INCOMPLETE, OUTDATED, OR MISLEADING OUTPUT, INCLUDING CONFIDENT STATEMENTS THAT ARE WRONG. ALL AI OUTPUT IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY. YOU MUST INDEPENDENTLY REVIEW AND VERIFY ANY AI OUTPUT BEFORE RELYING ON OR ACTING ON IT, AND YOU ASSUME ALL RISK FROM DOING SO.
The AI analyst (currently built on Anthropic's Claude) interprets natural-language questions and summarizes data. Its summaries, figures, and inferences are not guaranteed to match the underlying records and must be cross-checked against the cited source and the official State record.
5. No liability; full indemnification
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator of the Service is fully indemnified and held harmless for any reliance on, or any errors in, the data or AI Output. You release the operator from all liability arising from your use of the Service, and you agree to indemnify and defend the operator as set out in the Terms of Service. The limitation of liability and disclaimer of warranties in the Terms apply fully here.
6. No affiliation or endorsement
The Service is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the Florida Department of State, the Division of Elections, or any government agency, candidate, committee, or contributor. Names appearing in the data are referenced for factual, research, and informational purposes only.
7. Reporting data errors
If you believe data is inaccurate, note that the source record is maintained by the State. Any errors in the data provided to us by the Florida Department of State can be reported to info@FollowTheMoneyFlorida.org. We are not obligated to investigate or correct source data, and authoritative corrections must be pursued through the Florida Department of State, Division of Elections.
